WHAT WE DO

We provide first responder mental health education, presentations, workshops, and organizational support built specifically around the realities of public safety.
Our work combines nearly two decades in the fire service with my own experience navigating PTSD, treatment, recovery, peer support, and returning to the profession.
I don’t stand in front of a room and simply tell people to “take care of their mental health.”
We talk about what this job actually does to people.
We talk about cumulative trauma, operational stress, stigma, PTSD, resilience, peer support, leadership, organizational culture, families, treatment, recovery, and what happens when the things we see at work start following us home.
And then we talk about what we can actually do about it.
WHY IT WORKS
First responders don’t need another presentation telling them
that their jobs are stressful. They already know that.
What many have never been taught is how repeated exposure to trauma can affect the brain, body, relationships, behavior, and career, or how to recognize those changes in themselves and the people working beside them.
Still On Scene gives people language for experiences they may have never known how to explain.
It helps normalize conversations that are still difficult to have in public safety and connects those conversations with practical actions: peer support, professional treatment, healthier coping strategies, leadership involvement, family education, and organizational change.
Sometimes the most important thing someone takes away is a tool.
Sometimes it’s a resource.
And sometimes it’s simply realizing, “Holy shit. I’m not the only one dealing with this.”
That matters.
